Registered Midwife

HBCE (HypnoBirthing® Childbirth Educator)

My Story

I originally trained as a teacher but took a leap of faith and decided to start a new career in midwifery in 2008, successfully qualifying as a midwife with first class honours in Midwifery Science from QUB three years later!

Since then I have worked as a registered midwife in all areas of maternity care and currently work as a Community Midwife.  I'm also part of the team responsible for the 'Getting Ready for Baby' antenatal education programme.

I strongly believe in the ability of women to have a natural birth and have seen first hand the benefits of relaxation and hypnobirthing in helping women achieve a more comfortable birth experience free from fear.

My aim is to help women and their partners achieve the birth experience that they want by empowering them to trust in their bodies and use relaxation and self-hypnosis to assist them to have a safer, easier and more comfortable birth.

You will learn that your body and your  baby naturally know how to birth.  You will become skilled in drifting into an ultimate state of relaxation with the aim of allowing your birth to happen normally and without interference.
